UN AÑO DE INGRESO MÍNIMO VITAL: FRAUDE POLÍTICO Y ATROPELLO SOCIAL
El 1 de junio se cumple un año desde la entrada en vigor del Ingreso Mínimo Vital (IMV).
Despropósito, frustración, “esperanza burocratizada” (Sarah Babiker), “fiasco” (Plataforma RMI es tu derecho),”bluf” (Roberto Borda, de la Asociación Apoyo)… Durante este tiempo han sido muchas y muy diversas las voces que se han ido levantando para denunciar la decepción y el fracaso de esa medida.
Este es un documento de balance sobre el primer año de vida del Ingreso Mínimo Vital. Pero también intenta ser una aproximación a las razones del descalabro y un apunte sobre el futuro que viene si no lo impedimos, así como un esbozo sobre los caminos necesarios para salir de la pobreza y el desasosiego en el que los poderes políticos y económicos han hundido y están hundiendo a millones de personas en nuestro país.
La Marea Básica contra el paro y la precariedad nació hace 6 años, en marzo de 2015. Nacimos de un doble impulso, de dos manantiales. Por un lado el de las Marchas de la Dignidad, el gran movimiento popular que asentando su fuerza en la clase obrera desafiaba tanto al régimen del 78 como a la política austericida de la Unión Europea. Por otro lado, germinábamos en la tramitación de una Iniciativa Legislativa Popular (ILP) por la Renta Básica Universal, asumiendo la trascendencia y el alcance estratégico de esa propuesta. Sacábamos así la Renta Básica de los habituales debates académicos o militantes para llevarla a los barrios, a las puertas de los servicios sociales y las oficinas de empleo. El 24 de marzo de 2018, tras 320 kilómetros y trece días andando, llegaba a Madrid la Marcha Básica, arropada por más de diez mil personas y reivindicando entre otras medidas la Renta Básica y el cumplimiento de la Carta Social Europea.
