Newspaper in White Plains, New York. The Journal News is a newspaper in New York State serving the New York counties of Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam, a region known as the Lower Hudson Valley. It is owned by Gannett. The Journal News was created through a merger of several daily community newspapers serving the lower Hudson, which had previously been organized under the Gannett Suburban Newspapers umbrella; the earliest ancestor of the paper dates to 1852. Although the current newspaper's name comes from the Rockland Journal-News, which was based in West Nyack, New York, and served Rockland County, the Rockland Journal-News was actually the third-largest newspaper that Gannett merged to create the larger newspaper. The Reporter Dispatch from White Plains, New York, and the Herald Statesman in Yonkers were larger and served Westchester County.

Curbed | Love where you live
Curbed is all things home, from interior design and architecture to home tech, renovations, tiny houses, prefab, and real estate.
News website covering housing and urban design. Curbed is an American real estate and urban design website founded as a blog by Lockhart Steele in 2006. The full website, founded in 2010, featured sub-pages dedicated to specific real estate markets and metropolitan areas across the United States. Steele once described Curbed.com as an "Architectural Digest after a three-martini lunch.” The site hosted an annual contest, the Curbed Cup, to pick the best neighborhood in each city.In November 2013, Vox Media purchased the Curbed Network, which, apart from Curbed, also included dining website Eater and fashion website Racked. The paper reported that the cash-and-stock deal was worth between $20 million and $30 million. As of 2020, as a part of a downward trend of layoffs and restructuring of many venture capital-funded sites, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of Curbed's area-specific sites closed, leaving New York City as the sole remaining metropolitan focus.

Grub Street -- New York Magazine's Food and Restaurant Blog
Grub Street is a food blog by New York Magazine with restaurant reviews, chef interviews, restaurant-openings news, and food-trend coverage.
American lifestyle and politics magazine. New York is an American biweekly magazine concerned with life, culture, politics, and style generally, and with a particular emphasis on New York City. Founded by Milton Glaser and Clay Felker in 1968 as a competitor to The New Yorker, it was brasher and less polite, and established itself as a cradle of New Journalism. Over time, it became more national in scope, publishing many noteworthy articles on American culture by writers such as Tom Wolfe, Jimmy Breslin, Nora Ephron, John Heilemann, Frank Rich, and Rebecca Traister. In its 21st-century incarnation under editor-in-chief Adam Moss, "The nation's best and most-imitated city magazine is often not about the city—at least not in the overcrowded, traffic-clogged, five-boroughs sense", wrote then-Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz, as the magazine increasingly published political and cultural stories of national significance.Since its redesign and relaunch in 2004, the magazine has won more National Magazine Awards than any other publication, including the 2013 award for Magazine of the Year. It was one of the first dual-audience "lifestyle magazines", and its format and style have been emulated by some other American regional city publications.
